“The engagement ring is the first ring that shows wanting for you both to become committed to one another. It is traditionally the ring that one of you (usually the man) saves up for and chooses specifically to make that step forward to start planning your future together.”
“Both of you get to have an input when it comes to the wedding band, and will remind you of your wedding day”
“You may just love both your rings for the same meaningful reasons”
“If the engagement ring or wedding ring has been handed down to you by a family member then that ring is going to be extra special for that reason, where both rings become important for seperate reasons”
“The engagement ring is a symbol of commitment”
“Well you can walk away from an engagement ring, whereas the wedding ring is a token of love for both of you”
“Neither ring may be as important as one another, as you can have something else that holds even more sentimental value, such as a necklace or bracelet etc.”
“Engagment ring means that you are going to commit, however the Wedding ring is the commitment!”
“Stereotypically, the engagement ring is the one that has a diamond embedded in it and is the ring that one of you has saved up for to show that they want to spend the rest of their life with you. Wedding rings are the wedding bands for you both to exhange as the final stage in confirming your marriage bond between each other”
“Neither ring out-does each other as they both symbolise something special”
